Heavy metal group Streamer from Gavà, Catalonia, came together in 2013 following the split of Spleen Ideal. They performed in local venues and put out a two-track demo titled »Time To Die« in 2014, then released the »Broken Dreams« EP the following year. In 2017, they brought out their debut album »Now Or Never«, which resulted in tours throughout Spain and a UK appearance at “Grimm Up North Fest” in Bury, England. Their subsequent release »Light Of Death« arrived in 2020 amid the Covid era, which restricted their live shows.Instead of being rooted primarily in established Spanish groups like Baron Rojo, Angeles Del Infierno, Panzer, and Obus, Streamer belong to a newer Iberian metal movement alongside bands such as Löanshark, Crimson Storm, Witchtower, Iron Curtain, War Dogs, Rave In Fire, and Chantrice, all of whom are receiving growing recognition.
A highlight from »Into The Void« is “The Day That Barchinona Died”. It shows a clear NWOBHM influence, featuring galloping Iron Maiden-inspired rhythms along with touches of epic American metal and early European power metal, combining these styles in an effective way. "Thank you so much," beams the bassist. “I think that’s a great way to describe it. After all, we like all those genres, so we feel happy when people see it that way.”
